Apostolos Atsalakis
Co-Founder & CRO at PNOĒ
The Story

Prior to founding and leading PNOE through its international expansion, Apostolos, born and raised in Athens, completed his graduate degree in Nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge as well as an undergraduate degree in Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens. In 2015 while at Cambridge, Apostolos and his long-time friend, Panos Papadiamantis, at the time studying at Stanford, came up with the idea for PNOE, starting their journey into entrepreneurship.

Apostolos had just started his Ph.D., and was taking a closer look at breath analysis, and that is when inspiration struck. Taking a leap of faith in his idea and vision for the company, Apostolos stopped his Ph.D. to materialize PNOE to its full potential. Since then, Apostolos, through dedication and resilience, has grown PNOE to over 2000 business customers, working with some of the largest organizations globally, including the NBA and UCLA, transforming the way people approach fitness and health. He was also part of the 2019 Y Combinator cohort and has been featured in Fortune’s 40 under 40.

PNOE is disrupting the way in which we understand and approach our health, wellness, and fitness. Its main product is a 4G device that measures each person’s metabolism through their breathing, providing a holistic overview of the user’s health. Based on the measurements, a personalized diet and training program is created by leveraging the power of AI. Apostolos is not only the company’s co-founder & CRO, but also has a passion for empowering individuals through PNOE’s technology on their wellness journey.
