What began as an experiment to test his engineering prowess evolved into a service aiding millions daily, aiming to democratize online shopping globally.

Skroutz’s genesis as a price-comparison website sprung from George Chatzigeorgiou’s insightful observation of a market. Not until 2020 did Skroutz secure its first VC investment, aligning with CVC Capital Partners. Pioneering online shopping in Greece, Skroutz transcends mere marketplace status, aiming to cultivate a shopping community offering inspiration and guidance across various channels.
