The main immigration option for highly skilled individuals that will be recruited as employees in Greece is the EU Blue Card residence permit that requires proof of higher professional qualifications or relevant professional experience and a minimum annual salary.
Highly skilled employees may also consider the Intra-Corporate Transfer (ICT) Residence Permit, which requires a temporary assignment of a third-country national from an employer abroad to a Greek entity of the same group of companies.
The Digital Nomads Visa is another appropriate option for individuals (covering employees, freelancers, and self-employed persons) who work remotely in Greece for employers or clients outside Greece through Information and Communication Technology means.
The new immigration options of the Tech Visa and the Talent Visa that have been announced by the Government are expected to provide additional options to interested parties when they become available (expected in the next few months).
